Preparing To Breastfeed Workshop

For many mums-to-be choosing how you are going to feed your baby in a very important choice. Whether you are thinking of breastfeeding or bottle feeding its important to make an informed decision and have all the information before you start.

My Preparing to Breastfeed workshop is exactly where you start. I run the workshop once a month in Castledermot Co. Kildare. The aim of the workshop is to give expectant mums and your partners the information and education to help you feel confident, empowered and to make informed decisions as you embark on your breastfeeding journey.

I want you to feel confident from the moment your baby arrives and you are in hospital establishing breastfeeding. Coming to the workshop will help you learn about breastfeeding, take away the fear of the unknown and understand what is normal and what to expect. Knowledge is power.

At the Preparing to Breastfeed Workshop we discuss topics such as:

-Preparing for breastfeeding

-How breastfeeding works

-Latch and Positioning

-Normal newborn behavior

-The early days and so much more

There is plenty of time for questions at the end and throughout

Classes are kept small to give all attending the opportunity to participate if they choose.

Couples are most welcome for no extra charge

I run the workshop in Castledermot Co. Kildare. Please contact me if you have any queries on 085-8199082

Included in the Preparing to Breastfeed Workshop:

Breastfeeding Home Support

The first few days at home after you give birth can sometimes be difficult. Adjusting to your new life and caring for your baby can be a little overwhelming. Wearing your baby in a wrap can really help. Getting the basics of breastfeeding right are often key. Sometimes you may just need reassurance that everything you are experiencing is normal. If feeding is very painful, it doesn’t have to be. The smallest adjustment from an experienced eye is all it takes to make the difference.
