The Experience of the Babywearing Consultation Begins

First of all, you get to choose where you want to have your babywearing consultation. Here in Castledermot or in the comfort of your own home, it’s totally up to you. I cover all of Leinster for home visits and I am based in Castledermot, Co. Kildare if you wish to come to me. Have a carrier already and are stumped on how to use it? I am a very strong believer in the science behind babywearing. When done correctly, in the correct carrier for you, the results and relief wearing your baby brings is nothing quite short of amazing.

What Happens During a Babywearing Consultation

Through my consultations I ensure optimum support and positioning for baby’s development. There is also focus on babywearing safety while you are using sling. Everything during the consultation is at yours and your baby’s pace. Therefore I make time for feeding and changing breaks to ensure your baby stays comfortable. Together we can practice with some of our demo dolls first so you can gain confidence in your technique before trying with your baby. No need to worry if you don’t havea sling yet, I have a large selection of demo slings and carriers here for you to chose from. We will go through each type of carrier and have you try on each one you like. Once you find a style that you like, I will teach you exactly how to use it and give you the confidence to make the most of your new carrier.

For me, it’s an amazing experience seeing a parent coming into my studio having never tried a carrier. Then watch them leave wearing their baby. Baby is generally asleep all wrapped in love with a relieved parent heading into a new world of babywearing.
